Neil Francis Tennant, an English musician, singer, songwriter, and music journalist, was born on July 10, 1954.

He co-founded the synthpop group Pet Shop Boys in 1981 with Chris Lowe.

In the middle of the 1980s, he worked as a journalist for Smash Hits and the magazine’s assistant editor.

In a 1994 interview with Attitude magazine, Tennant came out as openly gay. Additionally, he supports the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

He keeps a home in the city of London and another in the rural county of County Durham in the North East.

Soon after Neil was born, the family relocated to a semi-detached home in Greenfield Road, Brunton Park, a relatively affluent neighborhood in Newcastle (opposite the corner of South Bend).
